Bio: I am a grad student living in Seattle with my wonderful husband, two cats and flock of chickens. When I was a kid, I watched my mom cook everything from scratch -- well, except for the occasional box of mac & cheese with florescent orange powder. Our food was simple, but by no means flavorless or boring. I have since moved out of my parents' house and begun my own style of cooking. I believe using the best ingredients available -- local, sustainable, and great quality -- makes your food taste that much better. Now, as an adult, I carry on my mom's philosophy of cooking: make everything you can from scratch, and make it with love.
